ECOFR treatment is recommended for wooden items that have been specified to comply to a group 1 fire rating.

These items may include;

Ceiling tiles, wall paneling, perforated acoustic ceiling and wall paneling, solid timber battens and room dividing wall paneling.

Staining Timber

When staining timber, ply or other wood based substrates it is important to choose the correct grade of timber or ply.

Please take the time to read this great blog from Matilda Veneers explaining the grading process.

https://matildaveneer.com.au/alphabet-soup-deciphering-plywood-grades/

Stain is exactly that, a stain.

When applied the stain enhances the natural grain, hard and soft veins of the wood and the imperfections. All these combine to create the overall look of the wood.

Not one slice of veneer, ply sheet or solid wood piece is the same!! So there for not one stained piece will be the same. What we can control is overall colour and do our best to make sure the stain is consistent throughout the entire job.

When staining Pine Ply we like to recommend the use of lower grades of veneer faces.

The lower grade face has more defects and features than higher grades which when stained creates more random paten. Higher grade faces which are best suited for clear coats have less defects and thus creating a more overall bland stain finish.

Stained panels can be coated in any of ECC's range of clear coats.

ECC's Antimicrobial Coating is a Superbug enahilator.

Test results conducted on Staphylococcus aereus or more commonly known as GOLDEN STAF, confirmed an instant 100% kill rate.

This coating is perfect for Hospitals, Medical centres, Dentestries, Child Care Facilities, Aged Home Facilities and in the home environment where add protection against germs and mould is a necessity.

This coating can be applied to multiple timber surfaces for internal and external purposes.

Ply panels, Veneer Panels,  New Age Veneer, Birch Ply.

Pigmented panels such as kitchens, furniture, doors and wall paneling can also have the protection of this coating.
